Meet Our Team

Bree Schaffer Pacheco

Bree is the Director of Jefferson Street Preschool and helps out in the classroom as needed.  She is a Colorado native and grew up in Littleton.  She graduated from CU-Boulder with a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish in 2008.  Bree spent the entirety of her college years volunteering for and later directing a support and crisis line, and she wholeheartedly believed that she wanted to be a therapist.  It wasn’t until she worked at a summer camp after graduating that Bree found her true passion in working with young children.  After the camp ended, she started teaching in the Early Childhood field.  She took additional college classes to become both an Early Childhood Teacher and Small Center Director Qualified.  In the process of doing that, Bree also became a Child Health Liaison through Boulder County Public Health.  Her education in early childhood is ongoing and she really enjoys learning about how she can best support children and their families.  She has been at Jefferson Street Preschool since it opened and loves her JSP community.

Eli Fairman

Eli is our Assistant Director and a teacher in all of our classes. He is the lead teacher of both our Pre-K class and our T/Th class.  He has been with JSP since 2011.  Although born in Germany, Eli grew up mainly in Colorado.  He became used to being the “new kid” in school due to his father’s Air Force career and thus can understand the anxiety some of our students will encounter on their first day at JSP.  Eli loves competing in sports, especially football, lacrosse and wrestling.  Eli’s character is evident by his respect for others, his empathy for those less fortunate, and his recognition of virtue in everyone. He is a strong, positive and encouraging role model for the students at JSP and we feel very fortunate to have a male teacher like him on our team.

Raychel Ruster

Raychel is a teacher in all of our classes and the lead teacher of our M/W/F class. Raychel previously worked for Lafayette Explorers Preschool for 2 years in their Tiny Explorers classroom and enjoyed her time there very much. She also worked at Jefferson County Public Schools in different positions in the span of 4 years. Raychel has enjoyed working with kids and watching them grow, learn, and change throughout the years. She is looking forward to a fun-filled year of reading, singing, dancing, crafting, counting, and learning new things. Her goal with every child is to help them find their way to a lifelong love of learning. Outside of school, Raychel enjoys spending time with her three sons. They enjoy traveling to places near and far, watching movies, and attending sporting events.

Jaelyn Shriner

Jaelyn is a a teacher in our T/Th class and helps in our other classes as needed. She has been working with kids for the past two years at a family rec center. Jaelyn has always had a passion for teaching and helping kids adapt to change, as it is a scary thing for all ages. She loves to learn new things as she feels each kid she meets teaches her something new. Jaelyn was born and raised in Broomfield and she is currently finishing her education with a major in English and teaching secondary education. When Jaelyn is not working or studying, she loves to travel and broaden her understanding of different cultures and languages. She is a self-proclaimed nerd ready to geek out with anyone about Star Wars and a good fantasy novel.
